Horse Racing

Counties Racing Club holds it's first race meeting of the 2009-2010 season on Saturday 8th August.   This will be closely followed by the revival of our '30,000 Dollar Day' with the $60,000 Listed Mile proudly supported by Westbury Stud on Sunday 20th of September.

In 2008, the Club was boosted with the announcement of DHL Global Forwarding coming on board as the sponsor of our premier race meeting, the Counties Cup.

Pukekohe Park continues to play host to both the Training Centre and the Auckland District Apprentice Jockey School.  Activities on the Training Track begin at 5.30am Monday to Saturday, with many an apprentice and trackwork rider enduring an early rise.

The Apprentice School continues to produce some fantastic young riders, who are proving extremely competitive in the sport to date.
